Immigrants from MP have registered their presence in Singapore since world war days.
During 70s and 80s, some industrial houses from MP established their offices in Singapore and brought employees from MP. Late 90s saw IT revolution when professionals from MP spread out globally and Singapore welcomed their influx too. In 2010, a group of Indorian's organized a first gathering for MPians living in Singapore to celebrate Deepavali together.
Word spread through social media, the family grew and that’s when the need of a registered organization was felt. The founding members worked towards recognition of the network and finally society came into existence in April 2019. The first management committee was formed by Dr. Shirish Johari, Gaurav Agrawal, Kamal Jain, Ajay Agrawal, Dr. Rashi Agrawal, Dr. Archana Johari, Amit Khandelwal, Abha Agrawal, Manish Kasliwal and Aseem Mehta. The initial funding was provided by all the founding members.
Since the inception, the organization is committed to serve the cause of MP immigrants and now is also acknowledged by the Madhya Pradesh Government through Overseas Friends of Madhya Pradesh office. Our goals are to
Promote Singapore ethos of meritocracy and multiculturalism.
Promote social, cultural, educational and recreational activities among Singapore residents.
Bring together Singapore residents who have interest in Malwa Culture.
Stand as a social and cultural group to help the needy and give back to society.
